Olivia and friends get the opportunity to go compete in the Summer Olympics, only for it to be ruined by Bowser and Dr. Eggman.
Episode Summary[]
Sonic and friends are loading up on a private plane that Tails created. Olivia and her friends are walking by while they are doing so. Olivia asks Sonic where they're headed. Sonic says they're heading to Tokyo for the Summer Olympics. Dani thinks that sounds like fun. Tails thinks there's enough room on the plane for them if they all wanted to go. Olivia can't believe that they're about to have the opportunity to compete in the Olympics. Jake asks if Zach is up for it. Zach is totally up for it. Amy lets them know that they're meeting up with some other friends while they're in Tokyo. Troy wonders who they could be talking about. When the plane arrives in Tokyo, they know exactly who... it's Super Mario and his friends! Brooke can't believe they're about to meet Mario. However, Mario and friends look a bit distraught.
Sonic wonders what's going on. Toad explains to them that Bowser and Eggman have taken over the Olympics. Tails thinks that's terrible, and wonders how they're going to save the Olympics. Peach has a feeling they're going to have to face Bowser and Eggman in a series of events. Aubrey wonders how she's sure. Daisy says they've been there, done that. Olivia thinks that if it'll work, then they should give it a try. Bowser and Eggman, elsewhere, have taken over the podium. Eggman knows that soon the Olympics will be theirs. Orbot hopes that this scheme actually works. Eggman wonders what he means by that. Orbot mentions the time he tried turning everyone into robots, and the time he created a lake monster. Eggman doesn't want Orbot to remind him. That's when Mario, Sonic, and Olivia come face to face with Bowser and Eggman. Bowser is furious at the sight. Sonic says that they want the Olympics back, and that they'll do what it takes to take down the evil. Eggman insists that they compete in Olympic events to take it back.
All of Mario, Sonic, and Olivia's friends face off against Bowser and Eggman's henchmen in a series of Olympic events such as the 100m Sprint, 110m Hurdles, Hammer Throw, Trampoline, Equestrian, and BMX. After long last, it comes down to a final game of Football. Lakitu and Omochao watch with great focus as they root for the heroes. Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Olivia, and Sunshine are playing for the heroes. Bowser, Bowser Jr., Dry Bones, Eggman, Metal Sonic, and Jet are playing for the villains. Dani really hopes that they win. All of a sudden, the Football event transforms into a Dream event. Brennan wonders what's going on. All of a sudden, a variety of items spawn on the field. Lakitu wonders if this is part of the event. Omochao just shrugs. Mario grabs a Chaos Emerald and charges up his shot power. Sonic grabs a pair of Speed Shoes and increases his speed... more. Olivia grabs a Super Star and becomes invincible. Jet thinks they're done for.
Olivia manages to burst through the villains with her Star power and scores the final goal of the game, scoring the heroes the win. Everyone cheers for Olivia. Olivia can't believe she did that. Mario and Sonic are both proud of her. Bowser and Eggman are taken away by some Shy Guy officers. Olivia wonders what they do now. Sonic thinks the Olympics are officially back on track. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong both shriek with excitement. Blaze and Silver high-five. Mario and Sonic fist bump, and they also give Olivia fist bumps. Dani and Rosalina celebrate. Espio and Ryan break dance. Before the Olympics begin, Sonic thinks they should take some time and explore what Tokyo has to offer. Olivia thinks that's a great idea.
