There's Snow Way is the eighth episode of My Friend Macey.
Episode Summary[]
Macey and her family are sitting in the living room, watching the news as Jenny the news anchor reports on the blizzard that's hitting town right now. Jon thinks they're gonna get so bored being stuck inside due to the blizzard. Macey thinks he can play dress up with his volleyball. Jon says they don't talk about that volleyball anymore. Jon dares Macey to stick her tongue on a telephone pole. Mom tells them both to stop arguing and thinks they need some sibling bonding time. Macey wonders what they could possibly do in the middle of a blizzard. That's when Jon thinks he sees someone outside. He thinks they're skiing. Macey is confused.
Sure enough, they look out the window and see Jarrett skiing. Macey wonders what he's doing out there. Macey calls out to Jarrett. Jarrett sees Macey and tells her that it may be a blizzard out, but the whole town has basically turned into a giant snow slope. Macey finds this exciting, because she loves to snowboard. Jon tells Macey he knows what they're gonna do today. Macey couldn't agree more. She tells Mom that they're gonna go snowboarding. Mom says to be careful. When they get outside, sure enough, Jarrett was right. It seems everyone is out taking advantage of the snow slope that is their town. Macey thinks it's nothing she's ever seen before. Jon thought she's seen crazier things like an evil milkshake.
After a montage of Macey and Jon hitting the slopes, they find out that there's a snowboard competition being held. Macey thinks it's odd that it's being held in the middle of a blizzard, but regardless is excited. Jon thinks they should enter it. Macey agrees. They go to sign up, but when they see their competition, they think they're in trouble. Austin, Jake, Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, Cody, and Brennan are all entered. Macey thinks she should just go in and give it her all anyways. Jon agrees. They both sign up, only to find out that Shaun White himself is about to enter the competition. Everyone's jaw drops, because nobody was expecting Shaun White to be in town. Macey wonders what Shaun White is doing here. Shaun says he heard about how awesome the slopes have turned out in this town, and decided to take advantage of them. Silver thinks that's fair enough.
The competition is about to start. Macey is at the starting line, wondering what she's gotten herself in to. That's when Kaylee comes up to her with a snowboard. Macey wonders what's she's doing. Kaylee said she entered the competition with her so she could support. Macey thinks that's extremely sweet of her. Alex and Jarrett are encouraging Austin, telling him not to choke. Austin thinks that won't be an issue. Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver are all talking smack to each other, thinking each one of them will come out superior. Cody and Brennan are being good sports and wishing each other luck in the competition. Zach is giving Jake a pep talk. Shaun White is standing there, wishing everyone luck because he knows he'll win. Kaitlynn, who is officiating the competition, gets the snowboarders on their marks.
Kaitlynn counts them down, and the race begins. Macey and Jon are going at a steady pace. Kaylee manages to catch up to them. Sonic, of course, is going the fastest out of everyone. Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver are all fighting to catch up to him. Austin, Jake, Brennan, and Cody are roughly all in the same spot of the race. Silver begins getting cocky and starts playing a video game while snowboarding. This does not go well for him, as he not only dies in his game, he flies off a ramp and crashes into the top of a very tall hill. Silver wonders how big the hills even are in this town. Kaitlynn declares Silver out. Silver didn't know this was elimination-based. Kaitlynn says it is now. Cody wonders if Silver is okay. This distracts him, causing him to trip and fall into a snowdrift. Cody is now eliminated.
Brennan feels bad for Cody. He tries turning around to help him, but this causes him to lose balance and trip. He turns into a giant snowball and rolls off of a cliff. Brennan is now eliminated. Macey is hard-focusing on the race. She wonders how much more they have to go. She notices that she's catching up to Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow. Austin, Jake, and Shaun White are all catching up to Macey. Jon and Kaylee have fallen behind, but are not too far behind the other three. Austin gets a sneaky idea. He tells Shaun White that he's a huge fan of his, and asks him to show off some of his best tricks. Shaun agrees to do it. He begins showing off to Austin, but this makes him mess up because he gets too cocky. Shaun White is now eliminated, and he took out Jake in the process. Austin smirks as he catches up to Macey. Alex and Jarrett both find this a very sneaky move on Austin's part and continue to cheer him on.
Macey knows it's gonna take a lot to catch up to Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow. She does, however, notice they're getting feisty. Shadow gets so angry, in fact, that he turns into Super Shadow. He punches Knuckles out of the race, thus getting eliminated. Sonic thinks that isn't fair and he turns into Super Sonic. This ends up turning into a fight between the two. They eventually knock each other out, eliminating both of themselves. Sonic thinks that was dumb. It's now a race between Macey, Kaylee, and Austin. Austin wonders how she's gonna get Kaylee out. He then gets an idea. He takes a Gatorade bottle he'd been saving and chucks it at her. It bonks Kaylee in the head, causing her to wipe out. Kaylee is now eliminated. It's now down to Macey and Austin. Macey can see the finish line. Austin refuses for Macey to get the win.
Austin tries to sneak up on her and take her out from behind, but Macey is aware. She drifts up a ton of snow from her board, causing Austin's vision to get hindered. This causes him to crash into a tree, thus eliminating him. Macey crosses the finish line, where the crowd cheers for her. Her mom and dad are even there. Kaitlynn declares Macey the winner of the snowboard competition. She hands her a giant gold trophy. Mom, Dad, and Jon are all proud of her. Macey thinks this has been the best snow day ever. The crowd continues to cheer.
