The Olivia Movie

The Olivia Movie is a television movie based on the show A Day in the Life of Olivia. The movie premiered June 2, 2020. A majority of the movie is worked on by Warner Bros. and SEGA.

Synopsis[]

All of Olivia's past foes work together to take control of Olivia and turn her to the dark side. Unfortunately for the villains, their plan backfires on them, causing Olivia to not only enslave all that is good, but the villains as well. This forces the villains to ask for help from Olivia's friends to return Olivia back to normal before the entire world is under her control.

Movie Summary[]

Act I[]

It's a perfect day outside. Olivia and all of her friends are enjoying a fun day of ice cream and mini golf. Brooke can't think of a more perfect day right now. All of a sudden, Olivia gets an alert from Professor Smarts on her phone. She wonders what's up. Smarts warns them that a giant lizard-like creature is rampaging through the major metropolitan area. Brennan wonders how such a thing could've emerged. Smarts says it was all thanks to Daniel the Demon, maybe they remember him from when they went inside Brooke's mind. Olivia unfortunately can't forget an experience like that. Smarts suggests that they all head to town to stop this monster. Sunshine hates postponing mini golf, but if the town needs saving, that's definitely a priority. Everyone heads to town to discover the ugly creature. Daniel knows that this creature is almighty and there is nothing they can do to stop it. Olivia tells everyone that they know what to do. Everyone engages in an intense fight against the monster. Daniel, however, is ready with some reinforcements. A bunch of mini demons rain from above and start attacking as well. JJ thinks this is very annoying. Isabel realizes this, but she tells JJ to keep pushing through this battle. After a fierce battle, all the mini demons have been driven off or squashed. All that's left is a few blows to the monster. Olivia and Sunshine deliver the final few blows, and the monster is defeated. Daniel can't believe this. He says that he'll return, with a more threatening monster, one that is bigger than Godzilla. Dani wonders if this means mini golf now. Olivia says sure and everyone heads back to mini golfing. Later that day, Daniel stumbles into Dr. Eggman's lair. Eggman wonders what he's even doing here. Daniel complains to Eggman that he got bested by Olivia again. Eggman always knew she was a pain to deal with. Some days he thinks she's more annoying than Sonic. Orbot wonders what they should do about Olivia. Cubot wonders the same thing too, especially since Olivia is one of the sweetest human beings on this planet. Eggman wonders whose side Cubot is on. Eggman suddenly gets a very sinister idea. He tells Daniel to call in the boys, because this plan is gonna be a big one. Daniel immediately contacts all of Olivia's past foes. Later that evening, Olivia and friends are enjoying a barbecue at Olivia's house. Music is playing, a cornhole tournament is going on, and burgers and hot dogs are being consumed. Olivia is so happy to have such great friends. Aubrey thanks Olivia for having them all over for this. Olivia knows this is a great way to celebrate another victory against the villains. She doesn't know what she would do with such great friends. Without them, she wouldn't have been able to go on such great adventures like going inside video games and exploring Ryan Temple. Aubrey says that they will never leave her side, no matter what happens. Olivia is glad to hear this. After the festivities have wrapped up, everyone heads for home, and Olivia heads to her room to get a good night's sleep. However, she doesn't realize her sweet dreams are about to become a nightmare. A few of Marty's mole minions sneak into her room. Dr. Eggman is monitoring the progress of these moles. The moles implant a chip into Olivia's head. Olivia, out cold, doesn't even realize what is going on. Eggman thinks that went a lot better than he thought. He thinks the whole posse should go over and see how things are going now. Eggman, along with a bunch of Olivia's past enemies, head to Olivia's house to see how their plan went about. Meanwhile, inside Olivia's mind, a bunch of good thoughts are getting erased as the chip goes further into her mind. The good thoughts are now being replaced with evil thoughts. As soon as all the evil thoughts take over, Olivia wakes up. She feels different, but she isn't sure how. Just then, she spots all of her past rivals surrounding her bed. She wonders what they're all doing here. Zavok says it'll only be a matter of time before she's serving them. Olivia is confused. She says she will remain loyal to her good friends, such as Dani, Brooke, Aubrey.... but then the evil thoughts kick in, and begins mentioning Zazz, Metal Sonic, and Marty. Daniel can't believe this actually worked. Eggman tells them to bring her back to headquarters. As they're heading back, the mole minions are trashing the place. Marty wonders what they're doing. Orbot believes they want to prove a point and show evidence that villains were here, or something like that. Marty thinks that's very cliche of them, but it works. The villains head back to Eggman's lair with Olivia.

Act II[]

The next day, Sunshine wakes up and is ready for another fun day with her friends. She goes to contact Olivia to see what they should do today. But she keeps getting sent to voicemail. Sunshine finds this very unusual for her. She contacts Dani and Brooke to see if they know anything, but they don't. And the contacting keeps spreading. Eventually, all of them meet up to see if they can find Olivia. Brennan thinks the first step would be to check and see if she's even home. Brooke thinks that's a good idea. Everyone heads to Olivia's house. Once they arrive, they see her mom outside with a police officer. Ryan wonders what happened. Olivia's mom says that she's been kidnapped. Everyone gasps. Her mom and the officer bring them inside to show her trashed bedroom. Dani wonders who would even consider such a crime like this. That's when they hear a familiar voice. Olivia's mom knows that voice could be only of her beautiful daughter. She's happy to see that she's okay, but something definitely seems off. Her sister, Erika, is concerned of Olivia's well-being. Olivia tells all of her friends to surrender. Troy wonders what's gotten into her. That's when Eggman and the others show up. Sunshine had a bad feeling this had something to do with the villains. Hannah knows this is bad because every single foe they've seen in the past is here. Sunshine thinks this is worse than getting stuck in an evil second dimension. Jake wonders why Sunshine keeps referencing Saturday morning cartoons. Sunshine states that she hasn't in a while. Jake does admit that he did it once. Wanda tells them to give up now, because Olivia is on their side now. Brooke won't take this. She wants her friend back. All of a sudden, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Blaze, and Silver show up. Sonic heard there was trouble brewing over here. Eggman is not thrilled to see Sonic again. Olivia isn't either. Sonic wonders what they did to Olivia. Daniel says that's none of his concern, all he needs to know is that she works for them now. Brooke is getting angrier by the second. Dani wonders what's getting into her. Brooke can't take it anymore. Audrey is confused. Brooke says she can't take any more of the villains' wrath. She's sick and tired of having to deal with getting turned into robots, dealing with ghostly party crashers, and having to rescue boyfriends from the clutches of villains. Audrey doesn't quite understand what she's getting at. Brooke says she means that she can't stand the villains anymore. She can't believe she's about to do this, but if it means getting her friend back to normal, then it's worth it. Dani wonders what she's about to do. To her shock, Brooke punches Olivia. Dani wonders what the heck that was for. Brooke doesn't know what got into her. Olivia tells the other villains to attack. Infinite wonders when she was the boss, but does as she says. Everyone engages in an epic showdown. Olivia's mom and Erika just sit back and watch the action. However, the villains outnumber the heroes. Tails wonders how they're possibly supposed to take down all of these villains. Sonic thinks this will be a piece of cake, they've done it before. However, Daniel is summoning mini demons, Marty is summoning more mole minions, Alec is summoning cow minions, Wanda is summoning viruses, and Eggman is summoning all of his Badniks. Aubrey thinks they're screwed now. A bunch of the moles and cows end up capturing Olivia's friends. Olivia suddenly gains a surge in power. She then commands the cows and moles to capture the other villains too. Eggman wonders what's going on. Orbot is afraid that Olivia has gained full control of herself. Cubot wonders what that means. Orbot believes they now work for her. Eggman cannot accept this. He orders Olivia to stop this nonsense immediately. But Olivia's new minions are capturing all of the heroes and all of the villains. Eggman can't believe this. No matter how hard he tries, the minions won't budge, they are permanently under Olivia's control. Olivia's mom tries to knock some sense into her. However, a bunch of cows take her mom and Erika away. Olivia laughs evilly as she destroys her house with newly equipped laser vision. Olivia loves her new villainous powers.

Act III[]

Dani wakes up to see themselves in cages. To her surprise, she's in a cage with Dr. Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot. Brooke is there too, which Dani is happy about. Brooke wonders what they're doing in the cage with them. Eggman says that their plan isn't going as well as they had hoped. He says that Olivia has gone rogue. Dani wonders what that means. She wonders if it's like that fashion magazine. Brooke corrects her, because she's thinking of Vogue. Eggman says that Olivia has broken from the villains' control and has a mind of her own now. Dani thinks that's terrible. Sunshine wonders what they should do about this. Silver thinks they need to find a way out of these cages first. Knuckles wonders where they even are. Saben isn't too sure. Sonic thinks this place looks familiar. Tails realizes that they're in the Death Egg. Eggman wonders how they even ended up in the Death Egg. Zavok isn't sure. Aubrey realizes what needs to happen here. Megan wants to know what she's thinking. Aubrey realizes that the heroes and villains need to work together to stop Olivia from furthering her plans, because none of them know what her next move is going to be. Eggman refuses to work with any of them. Dani tries telling Eggman it's the only way, if he ever wants to conduct any evil schemes ever again. Sonic hates to admit it, but she's right. If he wants to pull off plans like interstellar amusement parks and creating customer service robots, then he's gonna have to work with them in order for him to continue his career in the future. Eggman is furious, but agrees to work with them. Tails knows this isn't the first time they had to work together, so he hopes it goes well. Isabel is happy that everyone is going to work together now, but wonders how they're possibly supposed to get out of these cages. Blaze has an idea. She ends up burning all of the cages with her flames. Zach has no idea how that was even possible, but it was cool. Jake mentions the fact that there were popsicles that turned people into monsters, and wonders how that was possible. Zach thinks he's got a point. Now the next matter is trying to get off the Death Egg. Tails wishes he had his plane here. Eggman looks around to see if he can find anything. He orders Zazz and Zavok to go look for something that can send them back to Earth. Ryan and JJ decide to tag along too, just to be safe. Tails uses his communicator to see if there's any Olivia activity on Earth. It isn't looking too good. Naomi wonders why. Tails manages to get live feed of what she's doing on Earth. She's in the center of town, about to reshape the earth in her own image. Olivia, laughing evilly, can't wait to see how the earth looks with her face on it. Everything in town is blowing around and getting destroyed. Some of the citizens are confused as to what is happening, while others are panicking. Olivia's mom can't believe what she's seeing. She begins crying, while Erika tries to comfort her. Eggman wonders what's taking Zazz and Zavok so long. The Ultimate One thinks this is ridiculous. He thinks this should be him reshaping the earth's image. Troy tells him to take it down a notch, because they're trying to resolve this together right now. All of a sudden, Zazz and Zavok comes back with a giant Death Egg Robot. Ryan tells everyone to hop in. Shadow wonders what good this will do. Eggman thinks this is brilliant, because this Death Egg Robot can help them fight off Olivia too. Brooke wonders how exactly. Eggman mentions the fact that they stole one of his robots before, and says she will eventually see how. Wanda asks Tails where Olivia's whereabouts are. Tails says that she's currently in New York City. Erika wonders what she's doing there. Sunshine thinks it's possibly her first big metropolitan target of reshaping her image. Dani thinks New York is way too cliche. She better not see any robot fish type battles or anything crazy. Ryan understands the reference, but knows they won't see anything like it. Eggman just tells everyone to prepare for an ugly fight. Jake wonders if one Death Egg Robot will be enough. Zach wonders if there's even more than one Death Egg Robot. Eggman thinks Jake brings up a good point. Metal Sonic takes a quick survey to see if there's more. There are apparently two more. Orbot takes a group to one Death Egg Robot, while Cubot takes another. Sunshine can't believe she's saying this, but Olivia is about to go down. The three Death Egg Robots head down to earth.

Act IV[]

Olivia hovers above New York City, giving the citizens an announcement about how their lives are about to drastically change. One of the citizens is scared out of their mind. Another wonders what they're possibly supposed to do now. Olivia starts by crumbling down the Empire State Building. Meanwhile, in one of the Death Egg Robots, Olivia's mom is watching in horror as her daughter destroys New York City. Sonic assures her that everything is going to be okay. She wonders how while an entire city is getting destroyed... by her own daughter. Sonic says to just trust that everything is going to be resolved. Erika says that he's right. She believes that they will come out victorious. Olivia is about to target the Statue of Liberty, when the Death Egg Robots appear before her. Olivia wonders where these robots came from. Sunshine says that Olivia's reign of terror is over now. Olivia believes it isn't. She summons the cow and mole minions she stole from Alec and Marty. Alec wants his minions back, and Marty wants his back. Olivia also summons a giant. Troy wonders if that's the giant she encountered after planting an apple tree. Daniel isn't afraid to put up a fight with Olivia. Eggman tells everyone to advance. Sonic and Shadow hop out of the robots and transform into Super Sonic and Super Shadow. Everyone engages in an epic New York City showdown. Sonic feels so wrong beating her up. Shadow says to ignore that fact because the entire world is at stake right now. JJ knows that she is no match for these awesome robots. Saben really hopes that's the case. After some fighting, Eggman realizes it's no use. Just then, Aubrey gets an idea. She wonders if Eggman still has his shrinking device. Eggman thinks he has it on hand, but he wonders what good it'll do. Then he realizes what she's going to try and do. Orbot warns Aubrey to be careful. Aubrey shrinks herself down, and manages to hop into Olivia's ear. Brooke wonders where Aubrey is going. Ashly says that wherever she's going, she hopes she's careful. Aubrey rummages through Olivia's mind to see if she can find a way to stop the evil thoughts. That's when she spots the chip. Sonic and Shadow aren't sure how much more of Olivia they can take, because she's way too powerful, even in their super forms. The robot that Jake is in is getting badly damaged. He hopes it can hold a little longer. Jet has a bad feeling about the robot's stability. Erika thinks it's hopeless now. They might have to accept defeat. Olivia gets ready for a final blow to all the heroes and villains. Barry says it was nice knowing them all, except for the heroes of course. Dani and Brooke hug each other. Jake and Zach look at each other with concern. Knuckles and Silver angrily look at Olivia as she charges up. All of a sudden, Olivia just freezes in her tracks. Everyone is confused. Olivia's mind suddenly fills with good memories, reminding her that she's a good guy. Olivia, who was floating in the air, begins plummeting to the ground. Sonic and Shadow swoop down to save her. Aubrey manages to jump out of Olivia's ear at just the right time for a safe landing, and uses her secret serum to grow back to normal size. Olivia wonders what even happened. All of her friends rush over to her to see if she's okay. Olivia's mom goes up to her and hugs her and is glad to see she's okay. Erika wonders if Olivia remembers anything about what just happened. She looks around the city, and wonders if she caused this disaster. Everyone nods their heads. Olivia is embarrassed. Sonic says not to worry because he knows some people who can fix the city up in no time. Olivia is glad to hear it. Sunshine is glad to see that she's back to her normal self. Dani admits that it was weird trying to stop one of their friends from taking over the world. Like Aubrey said the other day, they will never leave her side, ever, even if it means trying to stop her from taking over the world. Olivia's mom thinks they should head for home. She'll bake everyone brownies, her treat. As they head for home, Eggman mourns over his Death Egg Robots. He can't believe they're destroyed. Zavok says that's what they get for trusting the heroes and working with them. Eggman vows revenge on all of them. Daniel tells Eggman that there's always next time. Back at Olivia's house, everyone enjoys some brownies. Olivia is super thankful to have such amazing friends. Brooke is happy to be able to Olivia in her life and can't wait for the next adventures to come. Hannah hopes that the next one has less evil influence. Olivia highly doubts that, but the next time evil strikes, they'll be ready for them.

Overall, the movie had mixed to positive reviews. The movie was praised for visuals and score, while the main critical points were in the plot. It received a 73 on Rotten Tomatoes. On premiere night, the movie received 4.50 million viewers.
