- Like Ned's Disclassified School Survival Guide, the series is a mix between live-action and animation.
- There are also confessionals in some episodes, as if they took place in the confessional booth, where they can share their thoughts and experiences with the world. The confessionals were done by the students, but the animated characters can have previliages to use the confessional booth as well. The types of confessionals are solo confessionals, duo confessionals, trio confessionals, quad confessionals, split-screen confessionals and hot seat confessionals.
- Matty and Shirley are the only two characters who are butch.
