MBC Every1 (formerly known as MBC Kids until 2011) was a South Korean music, entertainment, variety and cartoon channel. It is a subsidary of MBC Plus. Since 2018, MBC's deal with Turner has expired and MBC decided to now renew it, it will continue as a entertainment-variety channel.

History[]

After Viacom's broadcast rights with MBC expired and did not renew it, on February 2011, Turner bought MBC to have broadcast rights on MBC's channels. It started as a entertainment, variety, music and cartoon channel in 8th March 2011, the first show was Hot + Hits, which every type of music that is hot will air.  A cartoon block is named MBC Cartoonverse and it airs every cartoons from the production companies like Cartoon Network Studios, DHX Media, YTV Productions, Teletoon Productions and more. MBC Kids closed on March 2011. The first music video to be aired on MBC Every 1 is "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Girl's Day.

MBC Cartoonverse[]

MBC Cartoonverse is MBC Every1's block that it was mostly targeted at boys, some of the shows targets girls and it was aimed at kids that has age 6 to 18 years old. It reccived controversy due of censorship of most shows, for example, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome was heavily censored due of being inappropiate for younger Korean children and it breaked the Korean law. Some of the shows are live-action.

Closure[]

The MBC Every1 and MBC Cartoonverse was closed in 30th May 2018, with the last music video playing on the channel is "Fake Love" by BTS, after the music video's airing, the channel decided to continue as a entertainment-variety channel without MBC Cartoonverse.

Programs[]

MBC Every1 mainly broadcasts cartoons, entertainment, variety and music shows, until 2018. MBC Kids originally broadcasted only cartoons and shows for kids, in late 2008, variety shows were added.

Availability[]

MBC Every1 was originally as MBC Kids, and it was launched at South Korea on 1st November 2002. Japanese feed of MBC Kids was launched at 2003 and it was closed at 2007 due of poor ratings and it was replaced by MBC Kids International. MBC Kids International was launched at 2003 and the Japanese version of MBC Kids International was launched at 2007 after MBC Kids Japan's closure. An Japanese revival of MBC Every1 was launched at 2012 with Japanese language shows, Japanese voice-over shows and Korean ads.
