Knuckles and the Secret Base is the twenty-second episode of My Friend Macey.
Episode Summary[]
In an epic fight against Dr. Eggman and an army of Badniks, Macey, Sonic and friends are up against the odds. Alyssa says this is the biggest Badnik turnout she's ever seen. Olivia tells Alyssa to keep pushing through. While fighting off the Badniks, Orbot and Cubot snatch a Chaos Emerald that Tails was hanging on to. Megan tries to warn Tails, but she's too late. Orbot and Cubot send a hoard of Crabmeat towards Megan. Macey tells Dr. Eggman that he's not getting away with this easy. Everyone gives it their all to finish off the Badniks. Dr. Eggman can't believe this. He flies off in his Egg Mobile. Orbot and Cubot follow behind. Orbot tells Cubot to hide the Emerald in a place the heroes will never find it. Cubot thinks that's a good idea. He goes off to hide it.
Sonic congratulates everyone on another successful fight. Tails suddenly screams because the Chaos Emerald is missing. Amy wonders how that could've happened. Silver says the only logical explanation is that Eggman took it from them while they were fighting. Kaylee deduces that this was simply a distraction so he could steal the Emerald. Macey thinks that was good detective work and calls her Watson. Kaitlynn thinks it's a good thing they know a treasure hunter in the group. Laila wonders who she's talking about. That's when Rouge the Bat flies in, saying Kaitlynn's obviously referring to her. Brea didn't know there was another animal friend. Kaitlynn says she was referring to Knuckles, but Rouge works too. Knuckles says he'll track the Emerald down, easy. Rouge says she'd better come along. Knuckles is hesitant, but if it'll make her happy, he allows her to come.
Knuckles and Rouge pinpoint the Emerald inside a secret base. Knuckles is thankful that Tails gave him an Emerald tracking device. Rouge says he's quite the treasure hunter having to rely on technology to get them here. Knuckles tells Rogue he doesn't have a sixth sense and asks her if he looks like Bruce Willis to her. Rouge just heads inside the base. An irritated Knuckles follows. When they enter the base, they see all kinds of weird gadgets hanging around. Knuckles thinks this is quite the place to hide the Emerald. Rouge says they'll never find it with all these parts in here. Knuckles wonders who this base could even belong to. All of a sudden, a voice commands them to halt. Knuckles and Rouge jump out of shock. To their surprise, a scientist comes out and wonders what they want. Knuckles says they're here for an Emerald. The scientist gasps.
Knuckles wonders if it's something he said. The scientist introduces himself as Dr. Discovery. He says he's been looking for a Chaos Emerald for years, hoping to someday harness one's power to create a life-changing machine. Knuckles wonders what kind of machine he was thinking of. Dr. Discovery comes out with a flying machine. He tells Knuckles and Rouge to hop in. Rouge doesn't know if she can trust this guy. Knuckles says that he seems like a good guy and that they should give him a chance. Rouge just rolls with it at this point and wonders what could go wrong. Knuckles and Rouge hop into the machine, and Dr. Discovery takes off. Knuckles wonders what this machine even does. Dr. Discovery says it's a labor-saving device. Rouge wonders how exactly. Dr. Discovery demonstrates. He targets over by Georgia's house.
Rouge wonders what he's gonna do to her. Dr. Discovery says nothing bad is gonna happen. He zaps a ray over at Georgia's house, and a plate of food appears in front of her. Georgia is happy because she was craving pancakes and bacon. Knuckles thinks that's incredible and says world hunger could be solved with this machine. Dr. Discovery says that's the point. Rouge is impressed. Knuckles agrees and says that Professor Smarts couldn't even think of this. Knuckles gives Sonic a call to tell him about how the Emerald is in good hands. Sonic thinks it's great and all but says they kind of need the Emerald back. Tails butts in, saying that there's a way they can replicate the Emerald's power so the power can continue to operate Dr. Discovery's machine. Knuckles tells Dr. Discovery to set a course for Tails' workshop.
Upon arriving, Tails works on a machine that will replicate the Emerald's power into Dr. Discovery's machine. Blaze is impressed that there's another scientist out there. Macey wonders what she means by another scientist. Brooke says that they used to have a scientist friend named Professor Smarts, but he sacrificed himself to stop The Soul Sucker from destroying the universe. Dr. Discovery chimes in, saying that Smarts was his inspiration to start inventing. Hannah thinks that's so cute. After some tinkering, Tails has finally perfected a device that will replicate the Emerald's power. Macey thinks it's just a battery. Tails says the battery holds an everlasting charge, equivalent to that of a Chaos Emerald. He puts it inside Dr. Discovery's machine, and it runs like it was earlier. Dr. Discovery tells Tails he's a genius. He thanks them and takes off to spread his kindness to the rest of the world.
Rouge thinks this mission was kind of a waste of time. Knuckles begs to differ, because they just found themselves another ally. Tails adds in another scientist at that. Olivia says that he's no Smarts, but he will definitely help fill the void of Smarts' presence. Dani agrees. Macey thinks that's really cool that they can reminisce on Professor Smarts with this new guy. Kaitlin chimes in saying that she never really knew Smarts but is happy for them all. Savannah and Emma both agree to that. Sonic is happy that the Emerald is back, even though it was in good hands to begin with. Sunshine wonders which one of Eggman's allies took the Emerald in the first place. Back at Eggman's lair, Orbot and Cubot are getting scolded at. Orbot wonders if this is a good time to start looking for a new job again.
