GeoToons' About the States(formerly known as State Toons) is an American children's musical comedy series created by Alan Werman for FunTain Animation Studio's children's channel FunTain Kids. The series first aired on June 2, 2006 and ended on September 19, 2011
There is also a version for teenagers which extends what an older kid needs to know about the states(Populations, electoral votes, history, etc).
Background[]
The show is aimed towards children aged 5 and over, with bright and colorful visuals, and cartoony character movements, drawing the attention of a child. The show also uses music to attract kids. The music sings about state names, capitals, geography, and more, making it easier for a child to memorize what the songs sing about.
Characters[]
- Barnard(Voiced by Alan Werman himself, originally called Barley)-The host of the show. Extremely optimistic and talkative. Interested in teaching the audience(consisted mostly of children) about the states. He has brunette hair and tanned white skin and wears a suit with the colors of the American flag over a white dress shirt
- Alice(Voiced by Gretel Tramburg)-One of the children, aged 6. She has bright yellow hair tied back into a braided pigtail and beige skin(implying she has a German family), and wears a white T-shirt with blue overalls
- Orville(Voiced by Irvin Porter)-The oldest of the children, at 9 years old.
Sequel[]
Main article: GeoToons' MORE About the States
On May 5, 2012, Alan Werman decided to create a sequel that told more about the states than the original did to honor the show's 6th anniversary, called GeoToons' MORE About the States. Which told history of each state in each episode, with longer episode runtime(Average 24 mins). There was also some comedy put into the sequel, to make the audience laugh.
Trivia[]

- The map that the states sit in, and pop out of when they are needed for the episode, is based on a map that Alan Werman's kindergarten teacher used in her classroom
